COVID-19 Disruptions and Financial Hardship

Policyholders facing hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic can defer premium payments on MLM’s Three Payment Plan Schedule. During these difficult times, MLM will allow additional time for policyholders to pay insurance premiums to help avoid policy cancellation for nonpayment.

With MLM’s Three Payment Plan Schedule, the initial payment plus service charge is due at the time of binding, the second installment is due 30 days after the policy effective date, and the third installment is due 60 days after the policy effective date. For those insureds that need additional time to pay, MLM will allow the second installment to be deferred for an additional 30 days, and the third installment deferred for an additional 60 days.

Please Note: In some states, the Department of Insurance may mandate that insurance companies extend payment periods or do not cancel policies for a period of time. If your state issues such a mandate, and it allows you greater payment flexibility than what we’ve outlined above, we will honor that directive.
